The thousands of components that make up your home have been carefully designed and built with dozens of quality assurance checkpoints. Still, like a car or anything else you use and depend upon on a daily basis, basic maintenance is required to ensure years of happy returns on your investment.

Warranty vs. Basic Home Maintenance

A warranty covers the repair of structural or mechanical items that are the result of a defect in workmanship. Because of our extensive quality assurance checkpoints, TriStone prides itself upon having the lowest warranty claims in the market. However if something does go wrong you can rest assured that we will make it right in a timely, professional manner. Most warranty claims occur in the first year of home ownership and TriStone Homes is there for you to cover all warrantable items for the first year. The second year covers primarily mechanical issues (plumbing, HVAC), which TriStone also covers. Years 3-10 have limited warranty coverage through Home of Texas (information is available by calling warranty service or any sales office).

Basic home maintenance includes items that you are responsible for and are the result of normal use and "seasoning" of the house through exposure to weather changes. Examples of basic home maintenance items include watering the foundation, changing the air filter, adding or replacing caulk, changing air filters, etc. The TriStone Home Owners Manual outlines basic home maintenance, or call the TriStone warranty team for clarification.
